My relationship with NANOE is just limited to dozens of spam emails that started coming in about a year ago. From day one, I assumed this was a scam and began forwarding their crap to my junk folder. However, their emails keep hitting my inbox because they continually change email server addresses. I’d say I get about one email per week. Here’s a list of some the addresses they’ve used to spam me (from newest to oldest):
Following Jim’s advice, I’ve reported all these addresses to Mailchimp, the automated system NANOE uses to spam people. Mailchimp’s spam abuse email is abuse@mailchimp.com. If you have a similar problem, please email them. The world will be a better place for it.
These scams are incredibly common and unless people denounce them, they’ll continue to wreak havoc. They use the same age-old formula: appeal to your ego by saying you’ve been nominated to some bullcrap award or position, and then immediately afterwards ask you for money.
